Reconstruction of continuous casting rollers by automatic welding method
These rollers are used in continuous casting slab and billet production lines (CCM), which suffer from surface defects and size reduction after producing millions of ingots in high temperature conditions, chemical corrosion and metal-to-metal wear. These defects are removed by the machining method and then the rollers are welded and surface strengthened by the sub-powder welding method with welding powder and alloy butt welding wire produced by this company in the intermediate (buffer) and final (stainless steel) layers. After final machining, they can be used again. It is also possible to perform this process (cladding) with modern welding methods.
